Kering Eyewear and Zeiss Sunlens Develop More Eco-Friendly, Bio-Based Lenses06/08/2021
The environment and how it is spared for future generations is on everyone’s mind, including those who manufacture the eyewear we all enjoy. This is why there is more great news coming from Kering Eyewear and Zeiss Sunlens! They are on the road to carbon dioxide neutrality by 2025 and are paving a path to make sun lens production more sustainable, according to a report.
All will be able to see the new material in the Kering Eyewear FW21 sun collection as it will be gradually introduced across all their brands. Their overall goal is to make the environment a better and safer place while making quality eyewear, to which Kering has been dedicated to over the course of years.
They started the CO2 Reduction Project in 2017, and in this project, eliminated the use of plastic bottles in all its facilities, replacing them with stainless steel for all employees over the globe. The company who manufactured the bottles are also environmentally friendly.
